Hats off to Historics again

For the second consecutive year, Historics at Brooklands has been acknowledged as the champions of best practice amongst all British classic car auction houses.

Following the qualification procedure, including nominations by motorists and a 'mystery shop', Historics has again proven to deliver exemplary service to its clients through a repeat win of a Highly Approved Trader (HAT) Award by the motorists' champion website, www.honestjohn.co.uk.

Businesses encompassing all areas of motor trade services, from warranty and assistance to auctions, car supermarkets, leasing and internet sites, registered for a HAT Standard.

To be considered for a HAT Award, businesses must have been trading for a minimum of three years, be signed up to the appropriate SMMT code of practice and demonstrate a thorough and transparent customer complaints procedure.

They must then generate a minimum of 25 genuine customer nominations as well as pass a 'mystery shop' by the Honest John team. The HAT Standard is then awarded based on Honest John's final decision and the organic recommendations that he has received.

Honest John commented: "The HAT Awards give the businesses that are delivering an exceptional experience to motorists the recognition they deserve, from the real experts: motorists themselves.  We are delighted that Historics has won this award for the second consecutive year."

In response, Historics at Brooklands Auction Director, Edward Bridger-Stille, said:
"We've had a fantastic auction year to date at Historics and this hugely positive feedback both from the trade and general public is amazing.  To win last year was tremendous but winning two years in a row really shows we are leading the way.
"In a super-competitive market, we are all thrilled that Historics' integrity and quality of service to our clients has once again shone through with a repeat HAT Award.  It is such a tribute to the ability and professionalism of all the Historics' team."

The award comes weeks before Historics's next major sale of 117 fine classic motor cars and a fascinating array of automobilia at its winter auction venue, Mercedes-Benz World, near Weybridge, Surrey on Saturday 30th November.
