Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 1993, the Ian Callum styled DB7 began production in 1994 at a new factory in Bloxham, Oxfordshire. In 1999, the new DB7 Vantage with a V12 engine was revealed. In 2002, a new variant was launched, named V12 GT or V12 GTA when equipped with an automatic transmission. It was essentially an improved version of the Vantage, its V12 engine producing 420bhp. Aesthetically, compared to the Vantage it has a mesh front grille, vents in the bonnet, a boot spoiler, optional carbon fibre trim and new wheels. It also has 14" front and 13" rear vented disc brakes by Brembo. Production of the GTA was extremely limited with only 112 vehicles manufactured worldwide.

Limited numbers and Ian Callum's sleek and purposeful design combined to produce a sporting tourer that has bucked the DB7 collecting curve and good examples are now highly desirable. Supplied in the factory colour combination of California Azzurro Blue with a Parchment and navy blue interior, the wood is burr walnut and the condition overall is very good throughout. Handbuilt in the UK for Mr. and Mrs. Peter Laffoley, as etched into the driver's side kick plate, it was then immediately exported to Jersey and then, in 2010, re-registered in Guernsey by the new English owner. In 2012, he crossed the remains of the English Channel to France, his home, where it was enjoyed. Works, over its life time, have taken place either at Chiltern Aston in Hertfordshire or at Aston Martin itself in Guernsey and Jersey. Supplied with two new front Avon tyres, its original owners guide, recent service by highly respected Aston specialist, Desmond Smail and full MoT test certificate and history file, this highly accomplished sporting tourer has the raw power of a supercar combined with the svelte lines of a supermodel.
